Our Return Policy
You may return or exchange most items within 15 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be unused, in their original condition, and in the original packaging
- All tags and labels must be attached
- Proof of purchase is required
Please note: For hygiene reasons, socks (including bike socks, casual socks, hiking socks, and fleece socks) and insoles are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged unless defective.
How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
Follow these simple steps to return or exchange your outdoor footwear:
- Contact us within 15 days of receiving your order by emailing [email protected] with your order number and details about the product you would like to return or exchange.
- Wait for approval – Our Vermont-based customer service team will review your request and send you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number if approved.
- Package your item – Securely pack the item in its original packaging with all tags attached. Include a copy of your order confirmation or packing slip.
- Ship your return – Send the package to our returns center at: Shoe Sale Shop Returns

United StatesWe recommend using a trackable shipping service as you are responsible for return shipping costs.
Return Shipping Options
You may choose your preferred shipping method to return items:
- Standard Return: Use DHL or FedEx for faster processing (customer pays shipping)
- Economy Return: Use USPS or other postal service (customer pays shipping)
For exchanges, we’ll cover the cost of shipping the replacement item to you via our standard shipping method.
Refund Process
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we’ve received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within:
- Credit card payments: 5-10 business days
- PayPal payments: 3-5 business days
Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable.
Exchange Process
If you’re exchanging an item for a different size or style:
- Follow the standard return process above
- In your initial email, clearly indicate the replacement item you’d like
- We’ll ship your new item once we receive and process your return
Exchanges are subject to product availability. If your desired replacement is unavailable, we’ll issue a refund instead.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage. We’ll arrange for a free return and send a replacement at no additional cost.
